Libya's national football team held its Jordanian counterpart to a 1-1 draw in a friendly match played Saturday night at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman.

The match came as part of Libya's preparations for the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2018), to be held in Morocco early next January.

At the beginning of the second half, Moussa Tamari gave the Jordanian the lead, before the Libyan team scored in the 75th minute through Faisal Al-Badri.

The Libyan team performed well during the match and dominated most of the gameplays in the first half yet wasted many opportunities to score and win the match.

In the second half, the Mediterranean Knights continued their pressure to get their goal on the scoreboard, but it was the Jordanian striker that benefited from a defensive mistake and Tamari stole the ball from a Libyan defender barely pushing it into the net.

The Libyan team renewed their aggressive strikes until one maneuver resulted in a penalty kick, which Faisal Al-Badri successfully scored to equalize the game for his team.

In the last minutes of the game, both teams attempted to score the winning goal, but all attempts failed and the score remained a draw.

The Libyan team will play a final friendly game likely to be in Tunisia, before heading to Morocco to participate in the CHAN 2018, which starts on the fourth of January.
