Libya national football team won 3-0 against Equatorial Guinea at Stade Ibn Batouta in Morocco's Tangier city as part of the first round of Group 3 at CHAN 2018.

Libya put out an attacking and highly energetic performance from the start and it paid off at the minute 12, when Saleh Taher scored Libya's first goal.

Taher scored his and Libya's second goal five minutes later as the team kept showing off their readiness for the CHAN title, which they won back in South Africa in 2014.

In the beginning of the second half, Equatorial Guinea played a bit more energetic than the Libyans, but good defense and brilliant goal keeping skills by Mohammed Nashnoush, kept Libya's net goalless.

At the minute 87, Libya's Zakariya Al-Harish translated a brilliant assist by Mohammed Al-Tarhouni into a third goal for the Mediterranean Knights to secure three points in the very start of the CHAN 2018 journey.

Libya tops now Group 3 until Nigeria and Rwanda's match ends.

The Mediterranean Knights will be playing Nigeria next Friday and it will be the toughest game of the group.
