Libya's Al-Ittihad beat Akwa United from Nigeria by a late winner at the round 32 of the CAF Confederation Cup on Wednesday.

Al-Ittiahd put out a very good performance on the pitch of Taïeb Mhiri Stadium in Tunisia's Sfax and scored at the minute 83 by substitute Muad Essa.

The two teams will play the second leg match in Nigeria on March 16 and one of them will qualify for round of 16 of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Al-Ittiahd remain the only Libyan team playing at CAF tournaments this year as Al-Tahadi departed CAF Champions League from the first round.
