The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced Tuesday the results of the draw for preliminary round of Champions League and Confederation Cup for 2022-2023 season, thus unveiling the rivals of Libya's Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahly Tripoli in the Champions League and Al-Nasser and Al-Akhdar in the Confederation Cup.

Al-Ittihad is set to play Flambeau du Centre from Burundi in the round of 64 of CAF Champions League. The winner will play in the round of 32 the winner of the match between Egypt's Al-Zamalek and Elect Sport from Chad.

Al-Ahly Tripoli will play KMKM from Zanzibar in the round of 64 and the winner will play in the round of 32 the winner from the match of Al-Marikh from Sudan against Arta Solar of Djibouti.

First-leg matches of the preliminary round is set to be played on 9-11 September and the second-leg on 16-18 September.

At the CAF Confederation Cup, Al-Akhdar will play Ahly Al-Khartoum from Sudan in the round of 64 and the winner will play in the round of 32 against Azam team from Tanzania.

While Al-Nasser has been exempted from playing the first preliminary round of the Cup and will play in the round of 32 against the winner of the match between Kigaly from Rwanda and SS from Djibouti.
