CAF grants LFF 200,000 USD to ease burden of Covid-19

The Libyan Football Federation (LFF) will receive $ 200,000 from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as part of a relief plan set by CAF to ease the financial burden on the African football community during the Coronavirus crisis.

"Due to the fast-spread of COVID-19, 54 African countries have suspended all domestic competitions, which has brought about huge financial burdens on their shoulders," CAF President Ahmad Ahmad said at a meeting held on Thursday via video-conference.

A total of USD 10.8 Million will be transferred to the 54 football federations on the continent, at the same time; CAF is studying other additional financial support to CAF members to help them resume domestic competitions, According to CAF website.

The LFF joined CAF in 1965 and is currently headed by Abdel-Hakim Al-Shalmani.
