The Confederation of African Football (CAF) held Friday the draw for the African Champions League and Confederation Cup preliminary rounds scheduled for September 10.

Libya will participate with two teams, Al-Ittihad, which will compete in the Champions League preliminary round along with 54 other teams, while Al-Ahly Tripoli will be among the 51 teams competing for the African Confederation Cup preliminary round.

The draw for the preliminary round placed Al Ittihad, the Libyan league champions, against Zanzibari KMKM club.

If Al-Ittihad succeeds in the first round, he will then face Tunisia's Esperance. But if failing to do so, they will move to the repeated 32 round in the Confederation Cup.

Meanwhile, the draw paired Al-Ahly Tripoli with the Sudanese Al-Wadi Nyala. The successful team will progress to face the winner between Dakhil Djibouti and Bechara of Tanzania.

The first leg matches of the preliminary round will take place on 10, 11, or 12 September, while the return leg will be held on 17, 18, or 19 of the same month.
