The South African team Orlando Pirates has qualified for the African Confederation Cup final, despite losing 0-1 last Sunday against its Libyan guest, Al-Ahly Tripoli, in the semi-final second leg.

A late goal from Ali Abu Arqoub 88 minutes into the game made Al-Ahly win the match, yet it wasn't enough to get them through to the finals as Orlando edged them out at the home game last week 2-0.

Libya laboured for much of the game, trying to make up for their first-leg loss, with the hosts' well-drilled defence restricting them to a few goal-scoring chances.

Despite brushing off their historical rival Al-Ittihad from the competition's quarter-finals, Al-Ahly's dream to be the first Libyan team to reach the African final died in South Africa against the 2015 runners-up.
