Al-Ahli Tripoli beat Al-Hilal on Friday 1-0 to win its sixth Libya Soccer Cup at the game that took place at Misrata stadium.

The winning goal was scored for Al-Ahli by Mohammed Al-Ghanodi’s header minutes before the end of the first half in the 22nd final of the competition, which was refereed by Mohammed Al-Shalmani.

Al-Hilal has qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup after losing the final, while the winner of the cup, Al-Ahli Tripoli, has qualified for CAF Champions League.

Al-Ahli beat Al-Sweihli 2-0 last Saturday in the semifinals and Al-Hilal won over Al-Naser 2-1.

Al-Ahli Tripoli has now added a sixth cup to his trophies collection after adding this season’s Libya Soccer League title to its collections as well, while Al-Hilal has only won the cup once back in 2001-2002.
