Al-Ahli Tripoli has won the Libya Soccer League 2016 title totaling its trophies to 12 after beating Al-Naser 4-1 in the final round of the five-team finals at Omar Al-Mukhtar stadium in Al-Bayda.

Al-Ganoudi scored a hat trick for Al-Ahli after Rowaid Ben Hamid had scored their first goal at the minute 21, while Salim Al-Masallati scored for Al-Naser at the minute 75 before he had missed a penalty at the minute 90 of the match.

Al-Ahli Tripoli was to be crowned as the winner of the 2016 title even if it lost the match because Al-Sweihli, which was the closest rival, drew its game with Al-Madina 1-1 and lost the chance to compete for the Libya Soccer League.

Al-Ahli Tripoli secured 10 points winning the title 4 points higher than the second Al-Sweihli, which ended the season at 6 points.
