Tripoli-based A-Ahli lost its second match in the two-group round of the CAF Confederation Cup to Morocco’s Al-Kawkab Al-Marakishi 1-2 at Tunisia’s Al-Shathily Azzuaiteen stadium.

Al-Kawkab team scored first at the minute 34 on a penalty by Mohammed Al-Fakeeh, and then at the minute 38, Al-Ahli tied the score also on a penalty by Al-Ghannoudi. However, the Moroccan team scored again in the second half at the minute 64 by the Brazilian player, Jefferson.

Al-Ahli tried then to tie the score again but in vain and hence finished the match to be placed at the bottom of the group with zero points, while the Moroccan team remained on top of the group with 6 points.
