Star gazers and the curious will enjoy on Monday 28 a rare and impressive phenomenon when a total eclipse of the moon will be observed in Libya.
The moon will appear large and turn coppery red, in a rare phenomenon which last occurred in 1982 and will next occur in 2033.
The breathtaking phenomenon, also called super moon, will start at 02:11 a.m. local time. After the partial eclipse at 03:06 a.m., the total eclipse will occur at 04:11 where the moon will be at its closest, making it appear as a super moon, 14% larger in the sky than an average full moon.
The eclipse will reach its peak at 04:46 a.m. and will end at 07:22 a.m.
The next total lunar eclipse will occur in Libya in 2018.
