The Director of Foreign Media Department in the Salvation Government has accused UN-proposed Presidency Council (PC) of being behind his abduction and torture.
Jamal Zubia said on Thursday that he had filed a lawsuit in a local court against the PC, indicating that he seeks to file another one against it in the International Criminal Court on charges of forced disappearance and torture.
“The crimes that were committed against me are against humanity that do not have statute of limitations,” he remarked.
Zubia was released late in November after four months of abduction without any charges. He was snatched from Tripoli’s Martyrs’ Square by unknown group after he took part in a protest against the UN-proposed government.
