The Presidential Council (PC) Head Muhammad Menfi received Monday the UN Special Adviser on Libya Stephanie Williams, in the presence of PC member Abdullah Al-Lafi.

Williams wrote on Twitter that the meeting was to review the latest developments in Libya, including the PC’s efforts to activate the national reconciliation file with a focus on the formation of committees and the redraft of the necessary legislation to be presented to the HoR.

"We took note of the spirit of consensus exhibited by the House of Representatives and the High Council of State and emphasized the importance of maintaining calm," Williams said. She reiterated the UN continued support for the national project.

Earlier on Monday, the presidency of the PC and the HCS held a meeting to discuss developments in the political process, according to the PC media office.
