The UN Special Adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams said on Friday she briefed the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Othman Jerandi on efforts to advance the political process in Libya.

"During our meeting, I briefed him on my recent meetings with Libyan officials as well as my consultations with the international community," Williams wrote on Twitter.

She indicated that she discussed with Jerandi the next round of talks between the House of Representatives (HoR) and the High Council of State (HCS), due to take place in Cairo starting on 15 May.

The UN Rep. highlighted the need for the HoR/HCS Joint Committee to produce tangible results that meet the aspirations of 2.8 million Libyan voters.

Both sides reiterated the importance of maintaining calm on the ground and the need for the international community to speak with one voice, according to Williams' Twitter account.
