One person was killed and nine others were wounded - including a child and two women - in airstrikes carried out by Khalifa Haftar's forces on Tajoura, eastern Tripoli.

Eyewitnesses said Saturday that the airstrikes nearby the National Heart Center in Tajoura caused considerable damage to civilian houses, and car accidents on the road due to the panic caused by the bombing.

Mayor of Tajoura Hussein bin Attiyah said Haftar's Air Force raids targeted a densely-populated area in the center of Tajoura.

He said several houses were damaged and four policemen were injured, adding that the airstrikes hit also a police training institution, a clinic, and a mosque.

In the meantime, the head of emergency and crisis committee of the Health Ministry Fauzi Awnis denounced the airstrikes and rendered them as violations of local and international laws.

Awnis said the windows of the National Heart Center in Tajoura were shattered and some of its compartments were damaged due to the airstrikes.
