A US security and military consulting group arrived in Tripoli on Sunday morning.

The visit of the US security consulting group comes in the context of reforming and developing the military and security institutions in Libya, the Information Office of Libya's Defence Ministry clarified.

The delegation met with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, Salahuddin Al-Namroush, the Security Adviser in the Presidential Council, Tajuddin Al-Razzaqi, and officials in the Defence and Interior ministries.

The ministry explained that discussions intended to lay the foundations for the reform and development of military and security institutions on sound scientific and technical grounds, without giving any further details any other details.
