The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, has participated in the launch of the initiative to prepare and adopt the national plan to implement the agenda for women, peace and security in Libya, launched by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

Dbeibah praised the role of the United Nations in supporting women around the world, and the support it provides to implement its global commitments on women, peace and security.

He also considered that the advanced stages that Libyan women have reached is the result of the efforts of all Libyan women and pioneers in various fields.

PM Dbeibah added that “Libyan women have never lost sight of supporting stability in Libya and the return of life to the country”, pointing out that women assuming the hierarchy of sovereign ministries will contribute to the advancement of the country.

He also affirmed his government's continued support for women and overcoming all difficulties and obstacles facing women in the country, so that they can exercise their role and contribute effectively to the dissemination and promotion of a culture of dialogue and peace.
