The United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, said all Libyan parties must continue to work with the UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, to find a solution to end Libya's crisis.

"Libya's crisis has taken so long. It is time conflicts Libya ended." Guterres said in a UN Security Council session on Middle East situations.

Guterres added that Salame is contacting all Libyan parties to engage in the political process based on his action plan.

Meanwhile, Salame said earlier that the Libyan Political Agreement ends once a constitution is adopted and elections are held, reaffirming that UNSMIL is working to conduct presidential, parliamentary and municipal elections in Libya.

He added at the National Gathering Conference in Tripoli last Tuesday that all Libyan institutions need "new blood" so they regain their legitimacy.
