The Head of UNSMIL Ghassan Salame announced in a presser on Wednesday forming a commission for new security measures, which he said will be comfortable to all.

The announcement came after a meeting in Tripoli in the presence of deputy head of UNSMIL for political affairs Stephanie Williams, Head of Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj and military officers from different western region cities.

Salame said the new security measures will allow considering ending conflicts more deeply, saying all parties signed except one.

He also said that Al-Sirraj ordered forming a committee to oversee the implementation of the ceasefire 24/7, adding that Libyans will hear good news about other issues related to economic reforms in 24 hours.

“We know who is striking Mitiga airport and they know that we know. Next time I will say the name.” Salame remarked.

Tripoli has been the battlefield for armed clashes between armed groups with a ceasefire brokered by UNSMIL putting the violence to uneasy calm over the last days.
