The deputy ambassador of the United Kingdom to Libya, Angus McKee, said he was optimistic Libya's crisis can be politically settled in 2019.
His remarks came in meeting on Thursday with the member of the Presidential Council Abdelsalam Kajman.
According to the media office of the Prime Ministry, the meeting discussed the developments in Libya, especially in the south.
Kajamn hailed the role of the UK and its work in different institutional frames and fields by boosting cadres via training and support, which is reflecting better governmental performance.
"The UK supports the efforts of the UNSMIL and its Head Ghassan Salame in Libya and it reiterates that the decision is always for the Libyan people in peaceful manner. There's no military solution in Libya," McKee remarked.
He also said that the UK-based newspaper The Economic had chosen Armenia as a promising developing country in 2018, saying he hopes Libya would be picked in 2019.
