The envoy of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Emrullah Işler said Turkish soldiers will be ready to stand by democracy and people's will in Libya against those who want to set up a military dictatorship.

Işler said on Tuesday that the MoUs with Libya have persevered the rights of both countries as per the international law, adding that his and the Libyan governments had taken measures that changed the rules of the game and made the countries trying to illicitly control the Mediterranean very worried.

He added that there are some parties that are trying to fail this historic agreement with Libya by supporting Khalifa Haftar illegally hoping to control Tripoli.

Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on TRT Haber Tuesday that his country was ready to deploy troops to Libya if the internationally recognized government so asked.

Erdogan said Turkey won't wait for permission from any international entity if Libya's legitimate government requested support as per the military accord signed between the two countries in training and arming, adding that Haftar is receiving illegal support from UAE and other countries.

He indicated that, regarding Russian support to Haftar, he would talk to Vladimir Putin about the latest developments in Libya this week so they avoid another Syria scenario, saying supporting Haftar is illegal as he is leading illegitimate entities.

On November 27, Erdogan and Fayez Al-Sirraj signed two MoUs in security and maritime cooperation.
