The Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid has stressed his country's rejection of any military intervention in Libya.

In an interview with the British newspaper the Independent, he said that the existing chaos in Libya is a result of the military operation launched in 2011.

As for reports of a possible military operation in Libya by a coalition of Britain, France, USA, Spain, Italy and Germany, Essid confirmed that Tunisia was not informed of the possibility of any military intervention in Libya.
