Representatives of Tuareg and Tabu tribes in the Constitution Drafting Assembly of Libya (CDAL) denounced Sunday their dismissal from the Constitution Preparation Committee (CPC).

In a statement, they expressed their objection to the CDAL's mechanisms for forming the CPC that followed the three-region aspect; four members from each region, and rejected the ruling by majority of the two-thirds + one voting mechanism, which both turned a blind eye to the other cultural components of the Tuareg and Tabu tribe as an attempt to establish the elimination policy.

They also underscored in the end of their statement that the CPC does not represent their tribes and they completely reject all of its upcoming work as it violates the constitutional declaration, as they said.
