The Tripolitanian Society has considered what was stated by the members of the eastern region in the Joint Military Commission 5 + 5 (JMC), aims for two things, either war or division of the country, saying that “such irresponsible statements are a crime punishable by Libyan law”.
“It was more appropriate for these members to complete the task assigned to them, which are the unification of the military institutions, protection of the constitution and the borders of the country from any external military interference”, the society added, demanding the Military Prosecutor to refer these members to the judiciary and hold them fully responsible for their actions.
The Society indicated that it does not expect any positive results from the meeting of the members of the 12 + 12 Committee representing the House of Representatives and the High Council of State, under the auspices of the Adviser to the UN Envoy for the Support Committee of the United Nations, calling on UN mission to activate what was agreed upon to punish those who obstruct international agreements.
