The Tripoli Protection Force (TPF) said the central and western military zones had agreed to form a force under a unified command to be positioned in the area from Ras Ajdair on border with Tunisia to Sirte.

TPF added in a statement Sunday that the aim is to prevail security in the area and reject having the western region as a battlefield among Libyans.

It also renewed rejection to the continuation of division at the Presidential Council, saying it will be under its authority when it is operating fully with its 9 members as per the Skhirat agreement.

TPF called on the Attorney General to bring to justice the corrupted officials and urge the Central Bank to stop corruption and abstain from helping those who spoiled Libya's financial stability.

West Libya has been seeing military movements lately as expectations of a looming war grow higher with the approaching of Khalifa Haftar's forces toward Sirte, let alone news about his forces being already positioned in cities near Tripoli like Tarhouna and Gharyan.

This is accompanied with some Haftar-loyal forces being positioned in Zintan, Al-Rijban, Sabratha, Sorman, and Al-Zawiya, which more than once threatened to enter Tripoli.
