House of Representatives member Badir Najeeb has escaped an assassination attempt in Benghazi on Friday, Dignity Operation Spokesperson Ahmed Al-Mismari confirmed.
Unknown gunmen showered Najeeb, a tribesman of Awaqir, with bullets in Masakin neighbourhood, but he was so lucky to escape. A friend of him was severely wounded in the shooting.
The assassination attempt coincided with the murder of Awaqir tribe leader Braik Al-Lwati in a car bombing in Suluq town.
