Tobruk parliament member, Mohammed Al-Reaid, has confirmed in a televised statement that a group of MPs and he proposed to hold the next parliament session in Al-Jufra city to approve the new Presidential Council’s cabinet.

Al-Reaid disclosed that the MPs who are in favor of endorsing the new cabinet are willing to hold a session in Al-Jufra to do so after they had collected 100 signatures of approving members, which is a bigger number than the one needed for a legitimate quorum by which the endorsement takes effect.

“I feel so disappointed with the riot and chaos that took place on Tuesday as the President of the HoR, Aqilah Saleh, was prevented from chairing the session and kick-starting it due to some MPs’ demands of ministerial posts for their own.” Al-Reaid remarked.

Formerly, Tobruk parliament had set as the start of a session to vote for or against the new cabinet; however, the session was called off due to disruption by some PC and Tobruk parliament members who oppose the list of the new cabinet and do not want it to be approved.
