Three children - between 9 and 11 years old - have been killed as random artillery shelling hit their house in Hajara area, Sabha in southern Libya, according to the city's Medical Center.

Meanwhile, the center also reported Sunday that two people - a 6-year-old girl and a man - were killed and over 17 others were injured as random shelling rained down on civilian houses in Sabha.

Worth to mention that a previous statement by the center said the number of killed persons in Sabha clashes reached 18 and injuries hit 86 between February 4 and May 5 this year.

In the meantime, a source from the city said several residents from clashes areas near Sixth Brigade headquarters and behind People's Hall have been subjected to random fire since last February.

Tribal clashes between Tubu and Awald Sulaiman in Sabha got more intense in the last few days as abductions were reported from both sides.

Sources confirmed that a Tubu tribesman who was under treatment in the medical center was kidnapped, while two Awlad Sulaiman tribesmen were also kidnapped from a southern Sabha district, which according to the sources was a retaliatory act.

Despite Presidential Council officials, elders and dignitaries' efforts to reconcile both tribes and establish a ceasefire and a truce, the clashes are still ongoing since last February.
