A group of Sudanese lawyers announced the start of legal proceedings against a United Arab Emirates (UAE) travel agency who deceived Sudanese youth on contracts with the ‘Black Shield’ company transporting them to Libya.

The 15 Sudanese lawyers presented themselves at a press conference in Khartoum, and were described as a voluntary body which was initiated to defend the rights of returning Sudanese youth from Libya.

The lawyers submitted a request to the Sudanese Head of Judiciary, to lead an investigation into ‘Black Shield’, in accordance with international law, commenting that this deception aimed at Sudanese youth, is a criminal offence, not only nationally, but also internationally.
