The Ministry of Justice in the Salvation Government urged on Monday the employees of the Public Prosecution Department and courts as well as the Judiciary Police personnel to resume work in Derna city as usual.

The Ministry encouraged its employees in Derna to positively take part in stepping up the role of the judiciary and achieving justice around the city, praising the locals bravery manifested in uprooting the terrorists and extremists from their city’s neighbourhoods.

In addition, the Justice Ministry also hailed the remarkable improvement of the security situations inside Derna as daily life routines have been back in the city and state institutions have been reopened.

Early this week, a police station was opened in the city, which coincided with reactivating the Coast Guard by Derna’s Local Council, let alone the preparations underway for opening a passport issuing headquarters.

Police cars also toured the city's districts to announce the return of police personnel to service.

Meanwhile, sporadic encounters between the Shura Council and Daesh/IS remnants are still ongoing in the mountain region of Al-Fatayah, the last stronghold of IS.
