Five militants loyal to rogue General Khalifa Haftar died Tuesday after being targeted with an explosive device in Abu Atni district of Benghazi, as deadly clashes rage one between Shura Council and Hafter’s forces.

Among the killed five were two Dignity Operation field commanders, Abu Bakir Al-Fissi and Ibrahim Jouda, who were trying to advance in Abu Atni axis, eastern Benghazi.

Meanwhile, eyewitnesses said that the clashes spread out to reach Al-Hawarri and Al-Leethi areas coupled with Dignity airstrikes, adding that people could hear the loud noises of ambulance sirens as they were departing Al-Marwa hospital and heading toward clashes areas.

Haftar's forces have been desperately trying to get hold of the war-torn city for more than a year now.
