Sabha Municipality issued a statement Sunday to soothe the angry protesters who came out on the city’s streets to speak out against the Tripoli Appeal Court verdicts on the ex-regime followers by opening fire in public and vandalizing the state institutions.

The statement called on the protesters to adhere to the rules of peaceful demonstrations and to stay away from using guns or doing any sabotage to the city’s security, urging as well Sabha Security Department, the Third Force, and the revolutionaries’ brigades to prevail security and stability in the city by conducting strict security measures publicly.

“We opened communication channels with all Sabha elders asking them to interfere and make contact with the society councils in the city in order to prevail tranquility and peacefulness among the city’s components." The statement concluded.
