The spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said Moscow is preparing to hold a Libyan dialogue that will include 100 political personalities from Tripoli, Cyrenaica, and Fezzan, to agree on a unified transitional authority in the country.
Zakharova said Saturday that the success of any comprehensive political settlement in Libya requires inclusiveness, adding that all Libyan parties, including Gaddafi loyalists, should be able to take part in the dialogue.
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said it is very good that no military operations have been reported in Libya over the last four months, saying Libyan military factions are still positioned in their previous locations and that latest talks in Hurghada pave the way for resuming 5+5 military commission.
She said that the Libyan meetings in Bouznika, and Montreux make positive way for agreeing on principles of forming future government institutions, adding that the UN is invited to coordinate international efforts to help Libyans end the conflict.
She also expressed concerns over the UN "unjustified delay" of appointing an envoy as a successor for Ghassan Salame who resigned in March 2020.
