After years of terror charges, rogue General Khalifa Haftar has changed his mind and described Misrata as a friendly city, making a U-turn on planned attack on the city to free it from terrorism, according to his classification.

"We have no problems with the people of Misrata, we have many friends there, we have relatives and uncles, we wish them safety," he said during his meeting with elders of Benghazi tribes on Friday.

He went further and declared he was ready to cooperate with the "militias" in Misrata and Tripoli.

"Kikli, Kara, Tajouri, Bishir are all Libyans and they wanted to defend their streets so that people enjoy good life." He said.

Abdul-Gani Kikli, Abdul-Raof Kara, Haitem Tajouri and Hashim Bisher are all brigade commanders from Tripoli and strong opponents to Dignity Operation.

His U-turn is seen as an attempt to seek support for his 3-year-long Dignity Operation after losing support from several armed groups in Benghazi and Ajdabiya.

Earlier this, the narcissistic General threatened to move his troops to Misrata and the rest of western Libyan cities to liberate them from terrorism.

In December 2014, his air force militia conducted airstrikes on Misrata's airport, port and the Steel Factory.
