The committee in charge of uncovering mass graves in Tarhuna has delivered 17 bodies on Friday, which were unearthed from mass graves, to their relatives, having been positively identified.

The Ministry of Justice said that the release of the remains took place at the Forensic Medicine headquarters in Tripoli, under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, having completed all procedures for identification.

The committee ensured that necessary samples from the remains were taken and preserved for the future.

Earlier last week, the Ministry of Justice opened an exhibition displaying the personal belongings of the victims of the mass graves in Tarhuna with the hope that the families of the missing individuals would visit the exhibition and become familiar with the items and personal belongings of the victims, leading to their recognition.
