Libyan-Tunisian Ras Ajdair border saw clashes and fire exchange between armed men affiliated with Libya Shield, Western Region, in Jamal Al-Gayeb brigade, which was recently appointed in charge of the border, and a number of the border’s armed employees. The clashes forced the shutdown of the border for hours before it reopened Monday morning.

Libyan News Agency reported a security source from Ras Ajdair border as saying that clashes lasted for two hours in the aim of controlling the border, pointing out that the clashes were triggered by the rejection of the armed employees to hand over the border premises to Jamal Al-Ghayeb brigade of Libya shield, Western Region.
