The State of Qatar has issued a statement condemning attacks by Khalifa Haftar's forces on Tripoli's Mitiga Airport, civilian neighborhoods and diplomatic headquarters, denouncing the deliberate targeting of civilians in the Libyan capital.

Qatar said on Monday that such irresponsible acts by Haftar's forces show that they don't care about people's lives or the holy month of Ramadan.

Qatar urged for an immediate halt of attacks on Tripoli and civilians, and called for returning to the Libyan political process as the best way to end the suffering of the Libyan people.

"We renew our call on international community and Libya stakeholders to halt Haftar's reckless attacks on Libyan civilians and end Haftar's prolongation of the conflict." The statement reads.

Haftar's militias fired over 150 rockets on different Tripoli neighborhoods, including Mitiga Airport, killing four people and injuring over a dozen.
