Angry protesters marched in the streets of the eastern city of Shahat on Sunday to denounce the difficult living conditions.

The protesters blocked the main roads with burning tyres and chanted slogans demanding Tobruk parliament and its government, headed by Abdullah Al-Thanni, to leave.

Most of the cities in eastern Libya, fall under the control of Dignity Operation, complain about the deterioration of living conditions including long-hour blackouts, and shortage of cash, bread, and fuel, accusing both the parliament and its government of failure to tackle these outstanding problems.

Last month, angry protesters went to the streets of Al-Bayda to denounce the deteriorating living conditions in the city. The protesters accused Al-Thani government of being behind all the problems in the city including lack of cash and blackouts.
