Prime Minister of Salvation Government Khalifa Al-Ghweil, has expressed appreciation for the initiatives aiming at bridging the gap and resolving conflicts between Libyans as well as at reconciliation within the cities and districts endeavoring to end troubles caused by faulty policies remaining from the ex-regime.

In an interview with London-based Alhayat newspaper yesterday, he said the recent mediations led by local parties had succeeded in making some local reconciliation. Hence, calling on the elders around Libya whose sons are in support of ex-regime followers to detach themselves and return home because Libya is for all Libyans, who together can build it in the right way.

Al-Ghweil also said he looks forward to see a bigger role for Saudi Arabia in resolving the current Libyan political crisis and in reuniting the Libyan citizens.

“We highly appreciate the positive role Saudi Arabia is playing in supporting stability in the Arab countries, yearning at the same time for a bigger role for it in reuniting Libyans as part of the rational policy adopted by King Salman Abdulaziz on the regional and international levels.” He said.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that the sovereign institutions in Libya as the Central Bank of Libya and the National Oil Corporation are operating from Tripoli and owned by all Libyans for whom they provide all the needed living supplies such as salaries, reassuring that his government does not aim at putting neither its grip nor pressure on those institutions.
