Libya's Presidential Council has formed an investigation committee to probe the car bomb attack that targeted a checkpoint in Sabha, in the southern region, on Sunday, and bring perpetrators to justice.

The decision came in an emergency meeting Monday in the presence of the Chief of Intelligence, according to the media office of the Presidential Council, which said the committee would be chaired by the Interior Minister with Chief of Intelligence and Anti-Terrorism Office Coordinator as members

The committee will provide support for security apparatuses in south Libya, including helping put in place strategic plans to fight terrorists across the country.

Meanwhile, the Presidential Council condemned the car bomb attack in Northern Sabha that killed two criminal investigation apparatus officers and injured four people, vowing to bring the criminals to justice
