President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang condemned the aggression launched against Tripoli by Haftar under the pretext of combating terrorism, saying that the fight against terrorism is not by attacking the legitimate government.

In his meeting with the Presidential Council (PC) head, Fayez Al-Sarraj, President Obiang said that the international community must work to stop this bloodshed and help restore stability in Libya.

"There is no military solution to the Libyan crisis" Obiang stated, emphasizing the need to return to the peaceful and political path.

He also underscored that he will work to reinforce this trend in the UN Security Council through his country's membership in the Council.
