Chairman of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj, held a meeting Sunday morning, with the High Council of State (HCS) head, Khaled Al-Mishri, and Speaker of the Tripoli-based House of Representatives (HoR), Hammouda Siyala.

The meeting, which took place at the PC's HQ in Tripoli, discussed the latest developments at the local and international levels.

The top officials emphasized that they would continue coordination in various political and economic issues, in addition to following up the public services file, and to work towards establishing peace and security in the country.

The HCS and HoR had previously announced the suspension of their participation in the political dialogue in Geneva, demanding the UN mission to clarify a number of points, as well moving forward with the military track before embarking on the political course.

In contrast, the UN mission insists, political dialogues will proceed, regardless of those who do not wish to attend, saying "the rest of the parties will join later".

This was reaffirmed by the UN mission head in Libya, Ghassan Salame, who stated that from his point of view, progress could be simultaneous on all tracks together, as provided for, in the Berlin Conference outcomes, according to Salame.
