The Libyan Prime Minister, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah has announced an agreement with the new ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UA) to Libya, Mohammed Al-Shamsi, to allow Libyan citizens to apply for the UAE visa online without needing to file a visa application at any embassy outside Libya.

Dbeibah reiterated in the meeting with the UAE ambassador, in the presence of Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush, that they had discussed resuming the work of the joint higher committee between the two countries.

Meanwhile, the UAE ambassador said the UAE was able to reach understandings with the Government of National Unity, saying they consider it "an effective and bold government" that can take decisions on which the UAE can build political and economic partnerships.

He expressed interest in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and mutual visits between the Libyan and Emirati peoples, stressing that the Libya-UAE relations are strategic.

The UAE ambassador presented his credentials to the Head of the Presidential Council, saying he was looking forward to the return of the Emirati diplomatic mission to work from Tripoli to provide its services to Libyan citizens.
