Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah said Monday he would announce his plans regarding running for the presidential elections at the "appropriate time," reiterating his rejection of the two election laws issued by the House of Representatives.
"Everyone wants elections, but there are some who produced detailed election laws to fit specific parties and individuals, and we cannot be satisfied with these flawed laws," Dbeibah told a crowd of youth in Tripoli, who gathered to mark the establishment of the National Youth Council.
"We want a fair parliament that serves all Libyans and a fair election law that Libyans agree upon, we want elections with a constitutional basis and fair laws."
At another level, the Prime Minister unveiled a new loan program, for youth confirming that the government will grant young people free lands and loans to build houses.
Dbeibah also announced the reopening of the registration for the marriage support grant, saying, "Today, our problem is not with money, our problem is with administration and corruption." He also assured Libyans that all suspended salaries will be released very soon."
