Prime Minister of Salvation Government Khalifa Al-Ghawiel held talks in Moscow on Friday with Russian officials over the two countries' relations and the Libyan political dialogue.

The Salvation Government said Al-Ghawiel arrived in Moscow on an invitation from the Russian Foreign Ministry and met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, where they discussed the current political and security situations in Libya and the latest Skhirat dialogue led by UNSMIL Martin Kobler.

Al-Ghawiel also asked the Russians, the UN and the international community to back the Libyan-Libyan dialogue, which was initiated in Tunisia and was crowned with a direct meeting in Malta between presidents of GNC and HoR.

"The Russian side expressed support for the Libyan choices and that imposing solutions by governments or any other side would only lead to more complications and conflicts between Libyans." A press release by the Salvation Government said.

The two sides also agreed to form joint committees to review all agreements signed between both countries.

Al-Ghawiel was accompanied with First Deputy Prime Minister Abdul-Monem Addali and Foreign Minister Ali Abu Zakoak. The remaining five Russian sailors, who were arrested off Zuwara shores in September, also accompanied Al-Ghawiel following their release.
