Chief of Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) of UN-proposed Presidency Council Brig. Idriss Saleh Abu Khamada declared on Sunday that his forces will take over oil ports in the coming days.
Speaking to Arraed TV, Abu Khamada ordered all PFG personnel to get ready for the takeover, calling for an immediate ceasefire in the oil crescent region.
Benghazi Defense Brigades expelled Dignity Operation forces from Sidra and Ras Lanuf oil terminals on Friday and demanded state authorities to take them over while they continue their advance toward Benghazi.
Meanwhile, senior commander of Benghazi Defense Brigades Yasir Al-Jabali said armed brigades from Tripoli, Misrata and Sabha have joined their forces in the ongoing battle for the return of Benghazi IDPs.
