The Presidential Council member, Abdul Salam Kajman, held an expanding meeting on Monday, to discuss the obstacles to the fuel and cooking gas convoys delivered to the southern region.

The meeting was attended by officials from the Interior Ministry, the High Council of State, the Military Medicine Authority, and representatives from Brega Company and the Steering Council of Sabha, according to the media office of the Prime Minister.

The officials agreed that Brega Company will provide fuel and gas supplies to the southern region from its warehouses in Tripoli and Misurata starting from next week, in coordination with the National Oil Corporation (NOC).

As a first stage, a fuel shipment will be delivered from Misurata warehouse to Sabha, through Bani Walid, Nesma, Ash Shwayrif, and Al-Shati route said the Prime Minister's media office.

For its part, the Ministry of Interior vowed to secure the fuel and cooking gas convoys to the southern region, in coordination with the security directorates in the targeted municipalities, in addition to Brega Company and the Military Medical Service.

Meanwhile, the Steering Council of Sabha emphasized that it will reach out to elders and dignitaries in the region to discuss how they can help in securing the transporting process and to supervise the distribution process in their areas.
