Chairman of the Presidential Council (PC) Fayez Al-Sarraj held talks with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, in the Qatari capital of Doha.

The meeting was in the presence of foreign ministers of both countries.

Sheikh Tamim renewed his country's support for the Government of National Accord (GNA) and for the efforts of Al-Sarraj to achieve security and stability in Libya, emphasizing that Qatar will intensify efforts to assist Libya to overcome its crisis.

He expressed readiness to provide assistance of all kind to the GNA in the security and economic fields.

For his part, Al-Sarraj emphasized the depth of relations between the two brotherly countries, noting that his visit provides a good opportunity for consultation, coordination and exchange of views on various issues of concern to both sides.

The leaders also reviewed developments of the political and security situation and the repercussions of the aggression on the capital, Tripoli.

Al-Sarraj pointed out that the GNA is working in parallel to confronting the aggression to establish security and stability and move the economy forward.

Talks also touched upon the Berlin conference, where both sides agreed on the necessity of involving all countries concerned with Libyan affairs to this conference without any exclusion.
