The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has praised the declaration of principles announced by the delegations of GNC and HoR in Tunisia as it brings about unity and ends the current conflict in Libya.

The OIC Secretary General, Iyad Ameen Madani, urged Monday the Libyan parties to rely on this agreement as it forms a basis for finding a political solution for the crisis, calling on the Libyans to start with building the constitutional institutions for the state of Libya on democracy, justice and equality criteria, yet putting in mind that all must leave out any terrorist acts that could jeopardize
Libya’s security and sovereignty.

Madani renewed the OIC’s readiness for taking part in the international and the regional efforts aiming at putting an end to the suffering of the Libyan people and at fulfilling their aspirations for reconciliation, safety and unity.

Representatives from the General National Congress and Tobruk Parliament signed late on Saturday a declaration of principles in Tunisia to end the political conflict in the country.
