The General Director of Marsa Al-Hariga port, Rajab Sahnoon, confirmed that 600 thousand oil barrels from Tobruk-based Al-Hariga port began to be loaded onboard the oil tanker Seachance Thursday afternoon.

Sahnoon added, in a press statement, that resuming the loading process from Al-Hariga came after a deal reached by the Tripoli-based National Oil Corporation and its parallel Benghazi counterpart. “The deal was to resume work in Al-Hariga port,” he remarked, pointing out that Seachance is going to head to the UK to unload its oil shipment.

On the other hand, AL-Khaleej Al-Arabi Oil Company, which is in charge of Al-Hariga port and other oil fields, called for speeding up the provision of the budget to buy maintenance equipment, and pumping and power generating stations.

Formerly, the Benghazi-based parallel NOC stopped oil exportation from Marsa AL-Hariga port in Tobruk 20 days ago over banning it from selling oil without taking permission from the internationally recognized Tripoli-based NOC.
